MOHZ SCALE Among the most meaningful physical properties of APELUCIO NOBLE QUARTIZTE and GREEN NATURE QUARTZITE, stands out its hardness - seven on the Mohz Scale, which the maximum point is ten (corresponding to the diamond). The Mohz Scale, created by the German mineralogist Friedrich Mohz, is used to evaluate the resistance of abrasives minerals and its capacity to scratch other minerals. Another characteristics of A.Pelucio's quartzite is that they show a notable chemical and thermic stability. This makes them the ideal flooring around swimming pools and any other area that are exposed to the sun, since these quartzite don't absorb heat and, when wet, are anti-skidding. |
